Health & Safety
Ever since Word of Life Camps started in 1947, God has blessed us with an excellent record of health and safety. By God’s grace and a shared focus on following all levels of protection, we can continue to prevent as many injuries and emergencies as possible to keep camp safe and fun for everyone!
Got Questions?
Preparing for the winter weekend of a lifetime is exciting, but it’s also natural to have questions about what to expect and how to prepare. Explore our FAQs to find the answers to questions that you may share with a lot of other campers.
Comfortable Stay in a Warm Place
Each cabin holds 12 campers and two counselors, meaning there’s plenty of fun and lots of opportunities to make friends with roomies.
Groups are automatically housed together as much as possible, unless you let us know that you prefer to mix it up!

Family Style Food
All our meals are served family style, and we don’t want anyone to leave hungry! Campers can eat as much as they like and are always welcome to grab candy or snacks at the Snack Shack between meals. We also have optional sandwiches and cereal available at every meal just in case our more (ahem) “particular” eaters need a backup.
We work to serve a well-balanced diet throughout the week. Meals are prepared under strict supervision, using the finest quality ingredients. If your camper has food allergies, email vickys@wol.org to receive an Allergen Guide. Learn more about addressing food allergies at camp in our FAQs.
