Our History
Since The Island Youth Camp started in 1947, Word of Life has expanded to offer camping ministries in the United States and in 67 countries around the world. These camps provide families and youth of all ages with a place of physical and spiritual refreshment.
What We Believe
Word of Life camps are intentionally designed to help students and families know God better through daily biblical teaching. We believe the Scriptures to be inspired by God and without error. Our beliefs and values are informed by these truths.
Our Staff
Word of Life staff members are committed to living out their faith by providing fun, high-energy experiences that allow families and youth to grow in their own faith as they connect with one another and with God.
Our Counselors
We invest in our counselors so our counselors can invest in our campers. All of our counselors are trained specifically for camp ministry, equipped with biblical knowledge and committed to making sure each camper has a ton of fun!
